We had a great time on our trip to the coast. Isaac and Brownie were on their best behavior while we were gone. I'm so grateful for the nurses, my sister-in-law and my friend Cindi for helping us make this trip happen. Our hotel was amazing overlooking the beach and ocean waves. It was very relaxing. The weather held up pretty good, except on Saturday it was cold and rainy so we went on a road trip to the cheese factory and to a really cool air museum. We went to the aquarium the next day. I've never seen so many smiles on this girls face. The amazing shark cave!
On Monday Autumn's old school friend Elliot and his Mom came down for a visit from the Portland area. We had a great time with them on the beach.

Autumn was so excited to find a hermit crab. Yep, that's my girl! Looking for more crabs and seashells on our last night there.

Vacation Time!

School is out and there are only a few more days until we take Autumn to the coast. We're looking forward to making sandcastles, flying a kite and just watching the world go by. Of course I will miss my sweet boy to pieces. He will stay home with his peeps while we are gone. It will be next to impossible for me to not want to call and check in on him all the time. Although I will miss him, I am in need of a break from the day to day stuff that comes along with having a trach kid. Lets face it, it's not easy. Over the weekend we took Isaac to a big local park that has gardens to see the pretty flowers and ducks. I love that we can go on so many more outings with him this time of year.

Big sister sprained her ankle on Thursday at a school field trip. It wasn't hurting her that much, but it was last night so we went to the pediatrician's office today. Everything looks good and they gave her an ankle brace. I'm afraid they are getting too familiar with us at that office lately!

Back To Baseline

Isaac has been doing fantastic since being home from the hospital. He's on room air during the day and just enjoying being a happy little man. We had a park meetup last week with my Moms group for special needs kids and Isaac made a new friend. He was being a stinker because he was super tired so I couldn't get a smile out of him, but aren't they adorable together?Continue to pray for big sister. Now that we kicked the walking pneumonia she is now struggling with urinary health issues. Sigh....always something! Please pray for health and most of all strength for me and Sam.

HOME

Whew! That was a long weekend. I'm so glad it's over with! Isaac came home last night and he's doing well. It will be awhile until he's totally back to baseline with the 02, but there's a major improvement since being on antibiotics for pseuodomonas. I took this photo of him and big sister snuggling the day before he went to the hospital. I really do have sweet kids!
