Feeling Better On A Cold Day.....

Sorry it's been awhile. Mr. man is feeling MUCH better and is mostly back to baseline with his oxygen needs. HOORAY! We managed to stay away from that yucky hospital! For the first few years of Isaac's life our "normal" was having him attached to oxygen and an oximeter 24/7. That hasn't been our normal for awhile, so this was very challenging for me and probably for him. I'm glad he can now be free most of the day without his attachments.
After he got better, a few days ago Autumn wanted to take him sledding. My Mommy radar said no! That is something he has never done before because with the trach playing in snow is like playing in a pool. Big sister was very convincing though so we bundled him up.
At first he was scared because he didn't know what was going on, but after a few hills he seemed to like it! Autumn held onto him with all her might, and you know what? He didn't get any snow in his trach. It was getting really cold out so I asked him if he wanted to go to bed and he signed "yes, yes, yes!" Sledding is fun, but snuggling up with big sister on a cold day is the best!
Next week Isaac has a Shriner's and an ENT appointment. I don't look forward to Shriner's as it's always a reality check of his hip dysplasia, but since we've decided to not do surgery hopefully it won't be as stressful.
