The Family Update: Part 2

I haven't had time to take any cute pictures lately, so there are no Isaac smiles today.  We got the results from Autumn's test she had done on Friday. It showed that she does have delayed gastric emptying. That means "in a nutshell" that she's  digesting food slower than she should. This is causing many of the symptoms she's having such as nausea and abdominal pain. We don't know if this condition will be temporary, but hopefully with a medication the GI doc prescribed her symptoms will improve. There are many reasons people get this, but hers was most likely caused by a virus. I can't wait until school gets out! It's been a delicate balance between missing school and sending her to school all day feeling miserable.  I'm trying to stay afloat with new nurses coming and going and lots of scheduling changes. One agency seems to have it more together than the other when it comes to staffing so more shifts have been filled by them. Sam is recovering well from his surgery. He's just going a little stir crazy:)
