This morning I took Autumn to the park and we met up with a couple of ladies from our church group. The rest of the day we have just been chillin' out with Isaac and the air conditioner. It's hot! Friday we are having a BBQ with My uncle Dave and Aunt Karen who are up visiting from California. They will most likey be surprised to see how much both Autumn and Isaac have grown since they saw them a year ago! Isaac's dietitian came by last week and he weighed in at a whopping 23 pounds and 29 and 3/8 inches long. July we don't have very many appointments, which will be a nice change of pace. On Tuesday Isaac is finally going to the center to be fitted for a stander. Yay! Then on July 13th we have the big scope. Then in August we will have several appointments! I don't even want to think about August...uggh!Here are some pics of Isaac chillin' out watching his favorite Baby Einstein video. He's so cute....he's SO glued to it.

Don't they look cute? I need a nap too as it has been a very busy week for me. Saturday was a fun day with Autumn (my daughter). We call it "Autumn and Mama day." I try and make this a day where just her and I go somewhere special together such as the movies, shopping etc. So we went to Build A Bear and she made a cute puppy named "Butterscotch" and then we oohed and aahed at pretty dresses and the pretty charms at the Claire's. Then I took her to the 
movies. Brownie (the dog) was feeling left out, so later we gave her a bath at the self dog wash and then she got rewarded with a new bandanna and a Whopper from Burger King. Can you say spoiled?? Doesn't she look pretty in her new attire? What was Sam doing? He was manufacturing his new invention called a "Coatrackbox." I will have to put a link on the side of my blog on that. He's very ingenious! Lynn (Isaac's home nurse) and I packed up on Monday and today as if we were taking a round trip to the moon and took Isaac to see the Pulmonologist and the Endocrinologist. The Pulmonolgist has Isaac on an antibiotic for a mild respiratory infection and his lungs sounded good to him. I called the office later to see about phasing him into therapy at the center, since I got so distracted that I forgot to ask. He said that for now he feels that Isaac is still too medically fragile and at high risk for respiratory infection to discontinue home therapy. Bummer! Anyhow, the Endocrine doc checked Isaac's growth and his length was 28.4 inches long. She said that was about the length of a 9 month old baby and he's 23 months (21 corrected), so he's just a peanut. She also ordered some labs for thyroid and growth. On a very very sad note I just received some shocking news this week that one of our home nurses was in a tragic car accident on Monday and died instantly. These nurses who come into our home and care for our son become part of the family and a part of our lives, so needless to say this is very sad news for me. She was very good with Isaac and loved reading him books. She will be missed! (:

Today the dietitian came for a visit and Isaac weighed in at a little over 21 pounds and he is 28 1/2 inches long. He's still under the 3rd percentile, but that's ok, he's just going to be the little man. When I look at him he looks kind of like Autumn did when she was only about 9 months old, so he's just a little thing. I posted a couple of pictures on the site, such as Isaac with his Aunt Cassie and Autumn having a snow day last month. If you are getting these updates by email you probably can only see the journal entry. (Not too exciting). If you want to see the pics or go to the blog simply click on the subject line (such as Isaac's getting big) it will take you to the website. I'm really excited that I was able to add an email subscription like I had on Caringbridge. Speaking of Caringbridge I LOVED Caringbridge, but I just wanted something a little different since I have been using it for over a year now. I would highly recommend Caringbridge to anyone who has a child with an illness or disability as it is a wonderful way to keep people updated and it's much much easier than Blogspot. One reason I switched to blogspot is because I want to be able to promote more awareness for children with rare chromo disorders or special needs. It's very important to me to let the world know about children who can be born with a wide variety of rare chromosome disorders and multiple disabilities. Well Sam and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary on Valentines Day. We are planning a weekend away at the resort. All the care for Isaac is already arranged (woo hoo!) and Autumn is staying at my Dad's. I can't wait! In a perfect world I wish we could go away somewhere warm like Hawaii where my in-laws have been the past couple of weeks, (Ok , so I admit I'm a bit jealous) but anywhere alone with my hubby for an entire weekend is a real treat!
