Maybe By Christmas?

Isaac's wheelchair stroller has been a process. We borrowed this one for a short time and ordered it in June. When insurance faxed paperwork with some important questions to get it approved, the PT was on summer break and didn't receive it. Now that we're starting the process again, they are asking questions such as if it's medically necessary for him to have a canopy. What? The PT is working with me on this and we are hoping to get it approved soon. Maybe he will have it by Christmas. Just maybe.......

Seriously. I hate the process of getting our kids what they need! Is it necessary to have a canopy? I don't know ... do YOU sit in the direct sun, with no shade, when you don't always feel so great? Ugh. I hope he gets his chair soon!

Oh my gosh! Thats the reason why we got the kimba and not a wheelchair, was for the canopy! Seriously, thats what excuse they are using! What a joke. We are in the process of ordering a bed for Jax and I was told they always deny it the first time. Why do they waste their own money to use someone to deny it and then approve it the next time.
I just can't understand insurance companies!

It is a pain - the wheelchair process. We just got Ava's wheelchair 2 days ago and we started the process in June also. We got a lightweight wheelchair (a Tilite Aero) and we really love it. I hope they quit giving you problems and get that sweet boy of yours his new chair!!

Hugs! Hope you get it SOON!~ We got a stroller (snugride serval) and it was lucky not a fight...I've heard about them though. We had to pay for the handle adapters though.
