Always An Adventure

Where do I begin? This week has been interesting and exciting and full of ups and downs. Last weekend Isaac's nurse T went on a vacation and so the agency hired a replacement to cover some of her shifts. Nice lady, BUT she didn't seem to have much experience in pediatrics. Isaac needed more oxygen than usual during her shift and she was SO nervous around him that it made me nervous having her care for my sweet boy. It was causing me so much stress that I called the agency and they found another replacement with nurse C who knows Isaac very well. I almost kissed her feet! Since Isaac's oxygen requirements were up, Pulmonology put him on the Tobi . We've noticed he's getting slowly better now and not requiring as much 02, but we will still see the Pulmonologist on Tuesday.

On Thursday morning I took Autumn (big sis) to the park and while she was playing on the monkey bars she fell and landed on her wrist! Bam! At first I thought that she had just sprained it, but Sam took her in to urgent care when he got home from work and they determined that it was broken. She's now learning how to use her left hand for eating and dressing, but she still needs some extra help. Hopefully it will be mostly healed by September 1st, when school starts. She's enjoying getting some extra attention from her friends and extra hugs and kissses from Mom and Dad.

Here are a couple photos.........

so glad to hear that the tobi is helping Issac need less oxygen. Poor Autumn, a broken arm during the summer is sure no fun. Looks like she is handling it well though and very cool cast.

Poor gal. I hope she gets better quick. On the other hand (pun intended LOL) I had a friend who became very ambidexterous after breaking her right hand. That might come in pretty useful during some of those martial arts moves. Hugs to you all.
